⏰ April 15th is TOMORROW: What to Do If You're Not Ready for Tax Day

Let’s be real—tax season has a way of sneaking up on even the most organized small business owners. And if you’re reading this and feeling that last-minute stress because your books aren’t quite ready or you won’t be able to file your taxes by tomorrow, take a deep breath—you still have options.

You Can File an Extension

If you won’t be ready to file your federal taxes by April 15th, don’t panic. The IRS allows you to file a free extension, giving you until October 15th to get everything in order. It’s a simple form (IRS Form 4868), and it gives you some breathing room. But remember—an extension to file is not an extension to pay. If you owe taxes, try to estimate and pay what you can by April 15th to avoid penalties and interest.
